New to axe throwing? Wondering about age limits, dress code, safety rules, or how many warriors can fit in a court? You’re in the right place. This axe throwing FAQ covers everything you need to know before stepping into the halls of Dungeon Throwers.
Whether you’re planning a group outing, a private event, or a solo adventure, this guide will help you prepare for a safe and legendary experience. From what to wear to what you can bring, we’ve got all the answers—so your only job is to show up ready to throw.

Reservations & Hours of Operation
Court?
Court = 2 Lanes
That means more room, more action, and more time throwing with your crew.
Age Limit?
Participants must be at least 13 years old. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Reservations & Walk-ins?
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made online. Walk-ins are allowed if lanes are available, but availability varies. Private events can be arranged any day of the week.
Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice. If canceled within this window, you can reschedule. No refunds for no-call/no-show situations.
Hours of Operation?
Wednesday – Friday: 4 PM – 10 PM
Saturday: 12 PM – 10 PM
Sunday: 12 PM – 6 PM
Waitlist?
There is no official waitlist. If a time slot is unavailable, you’ll need to choose another. Limited walk-in courts are available, but wait times vary. Calling ahead is recommended.
Late Arrivals?
Arrive at least 15 minutes early for safety and coaching. Late arrivals may have reduced throwing time if courts are scheduled back-to-back.
Group Size & Courts?
Each court consists of two throwing lanes. Groups of 12 or fewer will be assigned one court. More than 12 people are assigned courts based on total size and availability. Additional guests can pay on-site, but larger groups may need to reserve in advance to ensure availability.
Private Facility Rental?
The entire venue can be rented for private events like parties, fundraisers, and corporate outings. Contact the team for details and pricing.
Food & Drink
Food?
No in-house kitchen with limited snacks, but you can bring food, or have it delivered while you throw (delivery fees may apply).
Outside Drinks?
A bar is available on-site, offering beer, hard seltzers, soft drinks, and water. Guests who appear too intoxicated will not be allowed to throw.
Supplies?
Plates, utensils, and napkins are not provided—please bring your own. Trash and recycling bins are available.
Catering?
Outside catering is welcome, whether for private events or small groups. Be sure to plan accordingly so you have time to enjoy your meal within your reservation window.
Safety: What to Bring?
Is Axe Throwing Safe?
Yes! Safety is a top priority. Each court is enclosed with floor-to-ceiling fencing, and only two axes allowed per court. A mandatory safety and training session is provided before throwing.
Training Provided?
Yes, all groups receive a training session before their reservation starts. Staff are available for guidance throughout your session.
Difficulty Level?
Axe throwing takes a little practice, but most guests stick the target within a few throws. Staff provide tips to improve technique.
What to Wear?
Closed-toed shoes are required for safety. High heels are discouraged. Otherwise, wear whatever is comfortable.
Bringing Your Own Axe?
ONLY WATL-approved axes are permitted.
How to Throw?
We will teach you both two-hand and single-hand throwing techniques.
